Register and Log In

  • I forgot my password.

    Please tap "Forgot Password" in the login page and enter the email you used for registration, we will send you a new password.

  • I didn't receive the email of password reseting.

    Please check your spam inbox. If there is no email from us, please tap "Issue reporting". We will contact you as soon as possible.

  • The app shows "cannot login".

    This alert means you have been banned because of the violation of platform policy, such as sexual trade, posting inappropriate comments, voice, and photos, or you are under our age limit.

Edit Profile

  • I can't edit or upload photos.
    iOS:

    Please go to your iOS Settings > Goodnight > Photos > Read and Write. Then you can edit and upload photos.

    Android:

    Please go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Goodnight > Permissions > Turn on ""Camera"" and ""Storage"". Then you can edit and upload photos.

  • My location is wrong.
    iOS:

    Please go to your iOS Settings > Goodnight > Location > Forever or While using app

    Android:

    Please go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Goodnight > Approval > turn on Location

  • I can't edit my profile.

    If you are still unable to edit your personal information please go to "Issue reporting". Our Customer Service Associate will assist you.

  • I want to delete my account.

    Please go to Settings > Privacy And Terms > Delete Account , then your information will be deleted from our system.

    Notice: Delete your account will not cancel your subscription. If you are a subscriber with us, please go to your platform and cancel your subscription to prevent from your subscription being auto-renewed. If your register with us via your phone number, this number will not be able to register again within 30 days.

Technical Issue

  • The app is crashing upon using.

    When you encounter App Crashed issue:
    - Please make sure your internet connection is working.
    - Please make sure your app is the latest version

    If you've tried the above,
    - Close the app from your system and restart again.
    - Reboot your phone.
    - Reinstall Goodnight app.

    If the issue is still not resolved, please provide us with a screen-recording of the issue and your user ID so we can assist you.
    1. What feature are you using? What page were you at?
    2. Were you using Wifi or mobile data?

  • I can't hear anything on a call.

    If you're disconnected or you can not hear from your match:
    - Please make sure your internet connection is working.
    - Your match might have incoming call. Please wait for his/her call is over.
    - Make sure your app is the latest version.

    If you've tried the above,
    - Close the app from your system and restart again.
    - Reboot your phone.
    - Reinstall Goodnight app.

    If the issue is still not resolved, please provide us with a screen-recording of the issue and your user ID so we can assist you.
    1. When did the issue happen? What page were you at?
    2. Did it happen after the call is started for a while? Or it happened when it's connected directly?
    3. Are you not able to connect with the same user frequently? Or it happens sometimes? Has this issue happened before?

Subscription

  • I want to subscribe premium membership

    There are three packages of Goodnight membership for you.

    Unlimited Speed Up:

    You can have unlimited speed up within random match without any cans. You also can locate to other countries and cities to find a foreigner to chat.

    Unlimited Chat:

    You can call online users with unlimited time.

    Party Cat:

    This is our premium package which include the features of both Unlimited Speed Up and Unlimited Chat. You can see the clear profile picture and browse the profiles.

  • How do I use Cat Can?

    You can purchase Cat Cans to use FastPass in Random Match.

  • I want to purchase Cat Cans.

    You can see your Cat Cans in Settings. Tap "Purchase More" to get more Cat Cans. We have three packages of Cat Can for you to purchase.

  • How do I restore my purchase?

    Please make sure you're using the account that you used to purchase the package. If yes, you can try to restore your purchase.

    1. Tap the avatar icon at upper left of the screen.
    2. Find "Membership" and tap "Upgrade now".
    3. Scroll down and tap "Restore".

    This can make you restore the purchase. However, if this does not help, please let us know your user ID and the purchase information so we can assist you.

  • I want to cancel my subscription.

    Please follow the steps if you would like to cancel your subscription:

    iOS:

    1. Go to your iPhone Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store
    2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap View Apple ID (you might need to sign in)
    3. Scroll and tap on Subscriptions
    4. Tap the subscription that you want to manage
    5. Tap Cancel Subscription

    Android:

    1. Go to play.google.com
    2. Check if you're signed in to the correct Google Account
    3. On the left, click My subscriptions
    4. Select the subscription you want to cancel
    5. Click Manage and then Cancel Subscription

    You can only cancel the next term of subscription. It is not allowed to cancel your current term of subscription and refund.

  • I've canceled my subscription but the status hasn't updated.

    Don't worry. It will take few days for system to process your cancellation. You're assured as long as you've done the cancellation from your platform.

  • I want to check my subscription information.
    iOS:

    Android:

    1. Go to play.google.com
    2. Tap "My Subscription" to check your subscription and auto-renewal date.

Match and Call

  • I want to set up my preference.

    Tap the avatar icon at the upper left to enter Settings. Then you can set up your preference in the Discovery.

  • I've been hung up all the time in Random Match

    We don't control users to pick up the call or not. According to the user feedback, it's usually because seeing an inappropriate username or they are busy at that moment..etc.

    Don't be upset if no one's picking up your call. We suggest you modify your username, say hello with more interesting topics and avoid inappropriate content so the users will be more likely to talk more.

  • I can't use FastPass.

    Our system will control the number of people who use FastPass at the same time. When there are many people on the line, this button will disappear or be disabled temporarily.

  • I have to wait for a long time even if I am using FastPass.

    The number of online users will cause the waiting time longer, but you will indeed be paired faster than the general users. We recommend that you extend the preference filter that will make you pair with users faster.

  • Online users don't answer my call.

    Goodnight can not control the user to pick up the call or not. As our understanding from user feedback, it is usually because: The name is not appropriate,user is busy..etc.

    Don't be upset if no one's picking up your phone! We suggest you to edit your profile name, say hello with more interesting topic, and avoid inappropriate content so the users will be more likely to talk more.

  • I want to unfriend a user.

    Please find the user in "Chat" and enter the chatroom. Tap the icon at the upper right, then tap "block". If you are being blocked by someone , their contact will be removed from your chat and friend list.

  • Can I recover if I have blocked a friend?

    Please go to Settings > Privacy > Block List > find the user and tap the icon at the upper right > tap "unblock". Then, the dialogue between you and your friend will reappear.

  • My account was banned.

    If you’ve been banned from Goodnight, it means you have violated certain terms of use or have been reported by a certain amount of users, and any inappropriate content will be permanently blocked.

    If you want to know more about the block reason, please provide us your user ID and contact us by "Issue reporting". Thank you.

  • I can't receive the push notification.
    iOS:

    Please go to iOS Settings > Goodnight > Notification > Allow

    Android:

    Please go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Goodnight > Notification > Allow notification

  • I don't want to receive any push notification from friends.

    Please find the user in Chat and enter the chatroom. Then tap the "more" button at the upper right corner and select "Mute".

  • I want to check my Follower/Following list.

    Please tap the icon at the upper right on Chat page, then you can see the people you've followed on the Following list, and the people following you on the Followers list.
